Pikes Peak 14,115 (2018)

26 miles, 6 in the group, hiking for 3 days. What a trip!!! The first 6 miles were grueling with overnight gear on our backs. Stayed at Barr Camp the first night... wonderful spaghetti dinner. Day two of the hike we summited (over 14 miles) and back to Barr Camp for another night and wonderful spaghetti dinner! Third day we descended back to Manitou Springs. Weather cooperated but we had some amazingly scary fog. We celebrated at the Manitou Springs Brewery and at Cliff House in town!

Mt Harvard 14,423 (2017)

This was a tough mountain. Mount Harvard is the third highest summit of the Rocky Mountains of North America and the U.S. state of Colorado and it kicked our old butts. Just me, the husband and Daizey (the brown Border Collie). We were glad to be done after 13 hours and 14 miles of hiking. To see how it went check out our story.

Huron Peak 14,009 (2016)

Started this hike in 2013, ....and about 1/2 way up it began to snow. Feeling unprepared for the weather we decided to back off and finish it another day. In 2016, we summited!

Bierstadt, 14,065 (2011)

What a wonderful memory....Just me, my husband and kids on this hike. The mountain was busy but the weather was perfect and the dogs did great!

Mt. Evans 14,265 (2011)

This was a very long 13 hour hike with a group of 8, probably one of the most grueling hikes I've ever done. We enjoyed pizza and ice cream in Georgetown afterwards.... because we deserved it!T

Mt. Lincoln 14,295 (2010)

We took another group of 8 up this one. They did fabulously! At the top we enjoyed Washington sweet black cherries. The weather was beautiful and the hike was short.

Mt. Cameron and Mt. Bross, 14,286 (2010)

Michigan teachers joined us on this hike to the top of both Mt Cameron and Mt. Bross, our descent was difficult. About 3/4 of the way down a bad storm came out of the west and one of teachers had trouble with a past knee injury ... but we made it to the bottom just before the storm got ugly. We headed directly to South Park Saloon afterwards for burgers and beers.

Gray's Peak, 14,278 (2009)

Bagged this one with just my husband... not kids or friends. The weather was beautiful. It only takes a hike to the top of a 14er to make us happy.

Torreys Peak, 14,275 (2008)

The photo is of a wonderful old college friend and her fiancé on this peak but because of the snow and limited time, we backed off about 1/2 way up. We enjoyed dinner in Georgetown afterwards. But! I have another story about a different trip up this peak where it didn't end so pleasantly...ask me about it someday.

Mt. Democrat,14,145 (2005)

Photo coming soon

First Family Fourteener! My youngest was 41/2 and he made it almost to the top after hiking about 7 hours. Our dear friends from Utah joined us and we hit the South Park Saloon afterwards. I don't know what I would do without my fearless friends and family.

Mt. Sherman, 14,035 (2004)

Photo coming soon

I took a newbie on this hike, just the two of us. It should have been a piece of cake but ended up to be a lot more difficult with the knife edge and extreme wind and cold... but made up for it with nice dinner afterwards.

Quandary, 14,265 (Multiple years)

This is a mountain top we've seen more than once, it will always be one of our favorites.

Mt. Elbert, 14, 439, (2002)

The highest peak in Colorado. Hiked it with a couple of old and dear mountain loving friends.

Castle Peak 14,278 (1992)

Photo coming soon

Castle Peak is the ninth highest summit of the Rocky Mountains of North America and the U.S. state of Colorado. The prominent 14,279-foot fourteener is the highest summit of the Elk Mountains and the Maroon Bells-Snowmass Wilderness... Jen's first 14er...
